Uskaru came into existance at Aztalan on 04.12.07 to chronicle the excursions of Faust and Anzu to sacred sites, both internal and external. The resulting sound is intended to transport the listener to that particular place of experience.
"Emergence" was released with the assistance of Crimson Elite Productions on 04.29.08. It is a rich tapestry of shadows that recalls Communing with ones ancestors under a bright moon. Shortly after "Emergence"'s released, Faust left the group for personal reasons.
Shortly before "Emergence"'s release, Faust and Anzu traveled to Mendota State Psychiatric Hospital to investigate the Native American bird effigies on their grounds. This experience profoundly affected Anzu, and later that evening he had a dream of listening to an album called "They Move in Iridescent Bodies". In the dream, the album was a sonic interpretation of a strange document called KASKAL (The Caravan) that Increase Lapham found on the premises while mapping out the surrounding area. This inspiration led to the creation of "Anene Sa", whose title means "They Move" in Sumerian.
Uskaru continues to grow and evolve. This third stage will herald Uskaru's spreading out into the metaverse via mediums such Second Life. The Sound is now alive, and needs to be shared in such a way: vital. Here and now.
